Bridge between two banks

On the bridge between two banks

Unity has thinned its ranks

Strengthened by pillars of thoughts

The bridge grows but fails to connect the dots

The transit zone has become a home

As temporary as a wave that dissolves into foam

A refuge for those aren’t with the flow

Each has their own tale of woe

Before the bridge, life was one

Now, takers for unity are close to none

The two banks long to be united

Any chance of that is blighted

By the travelers who have stayed on

Becoming revelers, since times forgone

When the bridge between the two banks is emptied

The flow swells, and the past is buried
