Repetition
Repetition, for the mind it is the way
Hoping for silence to arrive and stay
Spontaneity does not depend on experience
Only on an awareness that is ethereal
Life does not offer repetition
Pity, we don’t use time with more ambition
Opportunities wash ashore once, never to return
Making room for regret and it’s deep burn
A healing prayer works when there is no repetition
In a pure heart, there’s no need for a verbal audition
The heart hears before we speak
Voice of consciousness, never becomes antique
If repetition abates, the mind will gracefully depart
Leaving ego with a limp that is sure to smart
It will not have the strength to walk home, to awareness
And it’s uniqueness which leaves us breathless
