Mind, Body and Spirit

The way of the middle

The safety of the mind’s middle

Will not help solve life’s riddle

Those who’ve traveled its poles

Know there are no greater or lesser roles

Every road is divided

Each direction seems one sided

Watching from the middle will not suffice

Time will extract a heavy price

We reach the state of balance

When the middle is taken over by silence

We get close to answering the riddle

When questions turn into a trickle

When the silent middle is understood

We experience the joy of a second childhood

The middle is where it all began

Where we find the roots of life’s extensive clan
