Mind, Body and Spirit

Moments

In the waning moments before sleep

The seeds sown, one day we’ll reap

The mind bears the fruits

They may fall, not before digging roots

Moments, jewels that we throw away

They’re anchors, not letting the mind sway

Each moment’s full of silence, words make them empty

To replenish silence, the price is hefty

Not even a moment may be forgotten

The quest for silence we cannot shorten

Remnants remain in every moment

Lost in the thought’s melee, the mind tries to foment

Every moment is self-renewing

Being patient, we’re allowed in the silence that’s brewing

Slipping into sleep, we’re gifted a deep dive

When sleep can’t swallow another moment, we come alive
