Dignity
No conquest is accompanied by dignity
When it comes through aggression, not sympathy
Freedom is replaced, by dependence on charity
The once rich, live on a promise of prosperity
Dignity is under the safeguard of the peaceful
Who gain in strength, when others see them as feeble
The land the size of our feet can’t be called our own
We are indebted to time, it’s an unforgiven loan
When uniforms clash, humanity dies
The battleground is insulated from its innocent cries
The real fight isn’t outside, it is inside
Until we give up greed and pride
Dignity works with the mind and heart
In letting each freely do their part
When we are the dignified silent observer
The search ends and we become the treasure
