What we consider bitter

A shocking surprise springs

Giving suffering its wings

Suffering, we’re uninterested

In wealth, earned or inherited

Suffering will run its course

It’s part of nature, not a curse 

Suffering need not be our lot

It starts as a bitter thought

As it spreads in the mind

Life may get realigned

Suffering will soon fade

Awareness comes to aid

It gives the right to earn

The happiness we yearn
