Misery

We can dilute inner misery

The slope isn’t that slippery

When it comes, we race

Giving up our rightful place

It’s a wind that can’t sustain

Fighting it increases pain

Misery expects a confession

No need to offer that concession

It’s part of the landscape

With skill, we can escape

We come from the sky

Misery just cannot fly

Soar with happiness

Leaving misery’s nastiness

We control the switch

That lifts us out of a ditch
