Light

Light ends its journey in our eyes

Yet we choose the dark and don’t visualize

Beauty through the light that’s borrowed

End of each day, countless photons are owed

Light is a tireless time traveler

Is there anything of greater caliber?

The universe ends where light cannot go

Without it, there will be no tomorrow

If there’s light outside, it must be within

The two can’t unite through the mind’s leathery skin

Few venture to seek the light shower backstage

When we’re there, awareness will come of age

The sun must be revered

With its benevolence, we appeared

We hold a fleck of the sun in our eyes

That light never dies when we become wise
