Mind, Body and Spirit

The Cave

The sky hides a cave

In it, we join a conclave

Of moments, never apart

It’s the whole, of which we are a part

As breath falls into the lungs

If we silence our tongues

There may be a rising

But not if awareness is passing

Eyes are not accustomed to light

From the cave, that’s always in flight

Into which heaven descends

Where we can make amends

For the moments lost and discarded

In efforts to keep thoughts sorted

The cave’s big, and the mind’s small

It is seen, when we break the mind’s roof and wall
