Solace
Solace, it can only be offered
By the one who has suffered
Not afflictions of the mind or body
But years spent as somebody
On the other side of the moat
Where there is little done to promote
The truth, which has only one version
Not widely known, there’s a silent aversion
To truly listen from a place of quiet
The mind won’t accept such a diet
It’s fed from all corners
A meal rich in artificial honors
Solace is a great gift
Of the heart without thrift
And is gifted through eyes
Holding the power to canonize
