Names & Labels
All of us use a similar entrance
To become an individualized presence
We don’t enter through a labeling station
That's added later as the mind’s foundation
Through smiles, infants manage
And speak love’s universal language
As long as their mind remains dormant
They live in acceptance without dissent
Our language may have all the words
Without love, they become sharp swords
We forget the entrance once shared
Going separate ways there’s a rift, it can be repaired
Through awareness, we regain sight of our similarity
Our hearts bond into one through a forgotten familiarity
When we return to existing without names and labels
Our lives become worthy of entering of oft-repeated fables
