Peace River
On the banks of the Peace River
Being one with Nature, the eternal giver
We receive the glimpse of a shimmer
In which waves without purpose glitter
Marrying the mountains with the sea
Between them writing a gentle plea
Waters of the Peace river wind and turn
Playing hide and seek with those who yearn
We get a drop, on a temporary lease
It’s lost through the mind’s caprice
When we become a grain of sand, dry or wet
The wind won’t carry us until we repay all debt
To the Peace River, the eternity in flow
It remains after washing away everything we sow
On its banks, civilizations come and go
Likes bubbles, bursting when they fully grow
