The Road
Inside, there are many forks in the road
None lead to a permanent abode
But the road that is chosen matters
A wrong turn renders peace into tatters
For the honest, the road is long but straight
Taking them beyond the milestones of fate
To a place that is the real home
Unlike the mind, where the rest roam
The wheels of the mind continually turn
Away from the heart, and it’s eternal yearn
For the road of peace to never run out
There’s joy in that journey, without a doubt
When the past doesn’t add any weight
Awareness takes flight, never arriving late
To the moment, its whole, complete and new
That’s where all roads end, its unfailingly true
