Mind, Body and Spirit

Mind & Heart

The mind demands, becoming the host

It is no more than a trading post

Import and export, it’s that worldly thing

A gilded cage, in which we aren’t lent a wing

The heart invites us as a guest

Helping us relax, as we join the quest

Time becomes music, space begins to dance

Romancing us into a joyful trance

The mind may have learned the art

Of secrecy, by which we’re kept apart

It paints the only wall we can’t break

Beyond which rejoice the awake

The heart holds our hand

As we struggle to stand

We need not walk, it makes us fly

To where the urge comes to unify
