Life's Joys

Life may be different for each

Misery can’t lay a permanent siege

Patience completes the circle

There’s no insurmountable hurdle

Without variety, life’s boringly stark

The mind will lose its spark

Siring restless thoughts and trouble

Peace as it is, sits on a bubble

Life is shunned, when the mind’s dark

Misery is accurate, always on the mark

But we are not its arrows

Or the target of its sorrows

When eyes are on life’s dance

We are treated to a new expanse

Given endless moments, life’s toys

Reminiscent of pure childhood joys
