Light

Light’s wasted when we idle

Chances slip for those who trifle

The sun shows on its daily flight

Nothing stays forever at a height

Warmed by the sun’s light

Under atmosphere, that’s airtight

Nature has taken a chance on us

Handing everything without a fuss

It’s a working living

The mind harbors misgiving

Preferring a life that’s lax and free

But Nature will not hand the key

Light and dark, such contrasts

It’s these that give the mind mass

The aware are never in doubt

They know what light’s truly about
