Forbidden Peak
We can’t reach the forbidden peak
Until the eyes cease to seek
It remains hidden for a reason
We’d slip when the mind’s uneven
We don’t need legs to climb that peak
Sitting still makes the ego tired and meek
Stillness, not of the body or the mind
Attained when awareness is refined
The ego cannot sustain its peak
It falls with the smallest critique
It merges with the scenery left behind
When awareness is no more confined
A blanched mind is welcomed to the peak
It will listen to the inner speak
What’s hidden will be uncovered
It never leaves once discovered
