The House
There’s a house we seek to build
Till it’s done, we’re unfulfilled
The foundation isn’t solid ground
But thoughts, which abound
Many plans lie as decorations
Their dark side, expectations
They don’t let us sleep at night
Even dreams can’t take flight
Many leave the house unfinished
When it’s time, they can’t replenish
For some, the business is fruitful
Even that cannot make time youthful
It’s already built, the house we seek
On the heart’s majestic peak
The ground it sits on doesn’t shake
To live there, hate we must forsake
