The Brain
The brain, it is what we wear
A crown that can’t afford disrepair
Responsible for trillion lives
Through each cell, vitality thrives
Ministered by the mind
Which is often unkind
Life follows the current
No one is its servant
The brain, without it we can’t collect
It is the mind which makes it select
Goods and people, wealth and sect
The ego laughs, thinking it’s perfect
When time is tendered to the mind
A lifetime of awareness may unwind
Life will wait, but not forever
In doubt, the brain offers shelter
