Mind, Body and Spirit

Silence and sound

Sounds, an enchanting interlude

Giving bland silence a new mood

We hop from one sound to another

Afraid of silence and its soft smother

The envelope of silence is always open

Where worries fade and anger will soften

It is out of reach of the senses

And the offspring of desire, the mind’s defenses

Keeping us from a ripple free lake of silence

We are enslaved to their guidance

Like puppeteers pulling on our vocal strings

Thoughts gift themselves sonorous wings

Through words carried by the wind

Poisoning the forest of silence, it’s already thinned

We have lost the taste for deep reticence

That’s eternity, in silence, there is sound evidence
