Rivers
Time has forgotten about rivers
They are the eternal’s mirrors
Reflecting the gentle flow
Of life, through the body, as we grow
The mind stands as an unmovable rock
Life flows around it without giving in to its talk
From glacier to the sea, a river is unbroken
Without it, mountains and seas would be heartbroken
From the mind flows the river of emotion
Thoughts drink from it with true devotion
They swirl within waiting for acceptance
The heart cannot hold that abundance
When the mind melts, the heart will flow
It glistens when it comes out of the mind’s shadow
Time will mistake a flowing heart for a river
Giving it a pass, allowing it to become an eternal giver
