Moments
Moments evaporate like breath
We forget it’s piece-meal death
Time collects those fragments
It won’t let age remain stagnant
Moments, nuggets of gold
Each one will be sold
What we receive in return
Depends on awareness we earn
Every moment that goes by
Is a chance to rise and purify
The mind’s sweet distillate
Will be worth the wait
When moments become replete
With attention, real not deceit
Ahead, come our prime years
Time will reverse its gears
