Rainforest
A canopy of the gods
Which the sky guards
Showering raindrops
On dense treetops
Lungs of the earth
Where nature took birth
It’s becoming a relic
Leaving us derelict
Fell another forest
Where thoughts go to rest
In it, there’s great danger
It may seed our nature
The sky won’t rain joy
When we’re out to destroy
Nature’s ancient birthplace
Primitive, but touched by grace
