The Door Inside
The world is greatly magnified
In the mind, it’s importance is justified
Dwarfing a door hidden inside
What lays beyond, its never been verified
What’s within us all, only a few find
For centuries, they’ve been maligned
Not out of spite, but misunderstood
A pity, they stand for what is good
Our humanness waits behind that door
Its height has no ceiling, its depth has no floor
We look away as if the world has more
Scouring the horizon till the eyes are sore
The door is ours, we are free to walk through
Where the mind loses its lens, and cannot skew
The door we need not knock or unlock
We enter when awareness takes a silent walk
