Eyes of the Beholder
Eyes are lent by the one beholder
To witness a depth that will make us sober
It’s instead used to light up the darkness
Where we swiftly squander the largess
When the mind usurps the role of the beholder
It holds our hands making us become bolder
And we walk away from the benevolent lender
In search of a lasting splendor
When we return the eyes to the beholder
We are set free, there is no load to shoulder
The gift of sight gets an upgrade
Nothing we see will ever fade
Becoming one with the beholder
The fire reignites from a dying smolder
Lighting up the inner wonder
Which the mind cannot enter and plunder
