Passing of Time
Time gets to run away
Even gold cannot make it stay
Like precious seeds in a forest of trees
There are moments that hold the keys
We strive, seek and beg, for glimpses
Hoping our eyes see before time lapses
Time isn’t revered until there’s much to lose
It won’t extend its stay, it’s suffered abuse
Time pauses when we’re home
On the condition that we remain alone
And thrifty with time, to transcend
The mind, let is stay, a lifelong friend
To know the value of time is godly
When we spend freely to comfort the needy
Every moment becomes a wave of grace
And awareness resets time to a glacial pace
