Desires Bloom
Desire blooms out of season
Making longing deepen
Our feet can’t touch the floor
Where seeds of desire are kept in store
Branches of desire may be pruned
But the roots remain as a deep wound
When they flower, they draw awareness lower
We carry so many, we’re deluged in a shower
When desires become a forest
The mind will ignore cries for rest
There will always be some in bloom
It’s magical, how the mind has so much room
Desires have something to chase
Let them run, why keep pace?
Every moment, desires are seeded
Alertness keeps the mind freshly weeded
