A Migrant's Woes
Nature welcomes us everywhere
There isn’t a leaf with a hostile stare
Thoughts which have them, have no heart
They tear the narrow ledge we share apart
The world we call as home
Is locked, we can’t freely roam
To the sky we’re migrants, suffering the ordeal
Of facing humans with a different ideal
Every migrant’s woes are etched into ground
Left behind when the dream ship runs aground
Their loyalties are torn apart
Looking for a haven in a stranger’s heart
Estranged hearts are the migrants’ woes
The fear that every mind knows
Is written in the air we freely breathe
We’re joyless migrants when woes silently seethe
