Atoms
Atoms, they are on loan
To the current within that’s sewn
This body full of wonder
So hard to build, easy to sunder
Atoms in the world of the timeless
They are free, no one can possess
Has anyone offered them gratitude?
For their selfless servitude
Atoms, the secret behind matter
They’re hardy and difficult to shatter
When they break, they can’t be contained
As a runaway mind that can’t be restrained
When life retreats atoms are returned
Whether buried or sunburned
They see no difference
Atoms deserve our reverence
