Giver & Taker
Giver and taker, they’re inside
The giver rises up with pride
While the taker quietly hides
They are our two sides
Giving and taking comply
With a sharp transactional eye
Towards a profit, its view
The wily mind calls it true
Giving and taking, it’s not a mistake
Without them, a thirst we can’t slake
When they spill into days and years
They become the mind’s tears
When we are, giver nor taker
In comes, the savior
Freedom, and its empty hands
Saving us, from desire’s pangs
