Awareness, it’s tucked in

Buried under thoughts’ skin

Awareness comes to the free

To them, it will hand over the key

Awareness lives with the simple

Whose mind is barely a ripple

Awareness takes them up close

From where the mind arose

Awareness, all can reclaim

Inside everyone’s the same

Awareness patiently watches

The mind which isn’t cautious

Awareness, it takes us home

While the mind wishes to roam

Awareness isn’t found in a cave

It comes to those who no longer crave
