The Pilgrim
A true pilgrim’s feet
Will not accept defeat
Walking far and wide
Looking to destroy pride
Indistinguishable from the rest
Except for the silent quest
Pilgrims who don’t make it known
Find truth that has flown
Neither accepting nor denying
The pilgrim who continues untying
Coiled thoughts, of little worth
Finds truth on this very earth
Leaving both hands uncrossed
Reaching out to those who are lost
A true pilgrim sacrifices the journey
To help those mired in misery
