The mind’s a drop of defiance
It cannot exist on its own
Yet silence, it tries to disown

Thoughts blare their sirens
They shatter the peace
The ego will not let them cease

There are many diamonds
Their shimmering countenance
Brings weary seekers sustenance

The clocks show the timeless
The mind preens its past
