Submerged in thought’s ocean

Teeming with primordial emotion

It is not easy to swim across

Marooned, time we exhaust

When the mind’s flexible

And awareness becomes reliable

We set sail to new ground

Without thoughts in the background

The world will continue to be familiar

When the heart’s bigger, mind isn’t bitter

There’s no more drowning in fear

Which keeps loneliness near

The thought's ocean has no end

No easy way to transcend

Unless we stop seeking pleasure

As the thought ocean’s treasure
