Fresh Breeze

There blows a fresh breeze

When we refuse to appease

The ego’s dreams and wishes

Tempting us with riches

On desire’s billowing sails

Are written our life’s tales

Told through colors of cravings

And the brush strokes of feelings

The inspiration comes from the past

Through which we once passed

Thawing memories from a freeze

Remind us of a life of ease

The touch of the fresh breeze

Blows away any trace of unease

We breathe deeply once again

From a breeze washing away pain
