Invitation
There’s an open invitation
All through life’s duration
To relax, and to rejoice
Forsaking narrow choice
Moments come to deliver
An invitation to life’s river
Soulful silence on its banks
A joy that deserves endless thanks
Instead, we invite trouble
By allowing thoughts to scuffle
Forcing us to take sides
And endless emotional rides
Accepting the invitation
Brings a new temptation
Living in individual bliss
To leave out others, it’s remiss
