Memories
Memories are written on water
Life has many on offer
To reminisce, the mind we arrest
That effort will not let us rest
Memories evaporate into thin air
When time has nothing left to spare
There is no one left to claim
Once a treasure, it’s now aflame
Memories set imaginations on fire
Stoking the embers of desire
With the sense’s unflinching loyalty
The ego maintains its buoyancy
Memories, sequestered in a space
Reserved for the dawn of grace
For the better or for the worse
Memories, we’re drawn to immerse
