The sky sends us rain
The earth gifts us grain
Our eyes that see both
Lost in the mind’s growth
Seeking the invisible
In the dark it’s inhospitable
Full of thoughts as actors
Formidable as captors
Nature provides escape
Coming in every shape
When the mind won’t free
The eyes from its debris
Rivers wash the plains
The sea softly reigns
We fight, for slivers of land
The ever-shifting sand
