Belief
Belief is a comfortable bed
On which we rest our head
Hoping the heart will show
Mysteries it is said to know
When we hold onto a belief
It provides a temporary relief
But it keeps us asleep
Nothing new to achieve
Belief brings an obedience
Promising an experience
Of what is said to be true
Missing the fresh and new
Belief has roots in the past
Promising a future we’ve asked
For a moment, setting belief aside
We may discover a new inside
