Perspective
A change in perspective
Makes life less restrictive
Opening the gate
To more than just fate
We are the authors
There may be higher orders
But day to day, we define
Between joy and sorrow, the line
Everything is beautiful
Sights are plentiful
The eyes suffer poverty
They have lost clarity
The seed of perspective
Cannot be defective
It is life’s mainsail
To navigate waters of travail
We know, what it takes
By not living like ingrates
Catering to the mind’s wishes
We break real bridges
Perspective rebuilds some
Even one’s enough to become
An example, of life’s intention
That we enter a higher dimension
The correct perspective is the key
It is almost a guarantee
Nothing will be able to touch
The inner energies, won’t budge
__
A renewed sense of perspective
Comes when we’re introspective
It does not require any wealth
It can be done in quiet stealth
Whatever perspective we hold
It must make us free and bold
To pursue life’s main vocation
Happiness, in any situation
There are no books that teach
But experience is within reach
Of anyone who seeks to tame
Desire’s ever-burning flame
Time offers a ready perspective
There’s no mirror more reflective
It does not hide truth, however raw
It follows an unwritten universal law
With perspective, we may overcome
Challenges that make us numb
From cold winds, time may bring
To perspective, we must cling
A trusted foothold, we can depend
Perspective will help us bend
Weathering life’s many storms
They may come in swarms
Perspective is always ready
To hold us and keep us steady
There is one change we must make
Not to dwell on every past mistake
