The Seeker
When there isn’t need for remembrance
Happiness shows no reluctance
The quest and the path both rest
And the seeker passes another test
Opening a door that never closes
Allowing all, except what ego proposes
The seeker finds where to arrive
When nothing from the past comes alive
There is so much to the living self
A seeker’s mind, a small book on the shelf
The open sky becomes the protector
And nothing’s owed to the debt collector
When the seeker’s present is no longer is fleeting
Eternity, and not time, calls a meeting
There’s only one chair for the many
It’s for the present which is always ready
