Silence filters and purifies

A new consciousness may arise

If we are not seduced by words

The mind takes us towards

Silence is the highest peak

It cannot be sought by the weak

Whose energies leak and disappear

Through the eye, tongue, and ear

Silence is the universal currency

With it we buy inner clarity

When the world filters through it

We pause before we commit

With silence, we join the rest

Of existence, not at the mind’s behest

Silence isn’t just an empty void

In it the great ego is destroyed
