Balance
Like magnets locked in a tight embrace
Feet hold onto their birthplace
Foundation of the body’s asset, appearing graceful
And standing firm by the mind, even if it isn’t peaceful
There’s innate balance, in Nature
Our feet mimic that behavior
They cannot shuffle to the past
Or run to the future, that’s forecast
These appendages stay grounded
For a lifetime of steps, that can’t be counted
Heads may be held high only if the feet stay low
They remain so, even as we grow
When humility hangs in balance
Feet still stand, by the mind that leaves silence
Sinking into the mind’s quicksand
Awareness and feet, are trapped in no man’s land
