Mind and the Sky
If there is a low and a high
It’s in the mind and the inner sky
The mind is tethered to space
Which is a glint of the eternal place
We have run out of ladders
Climbing, and looking for what matters
To the mind, it is always under construction
It’s foundation is set in seduction
It has plucked our faithful consort
Together, in the world they cavort
Blinding our witnessing eye
Leaving us without sight of the inner sky
Awareness pines for freedom from its shell
Tired of the mind masquerading as a beautiful belle
Our wings will span the entire inner sky
Once we become an enduring inner spy
